Cannabis and hemp contain approximately 480 active substances. The main distinction is cannabinoids and terpenes. Cannabinoids are mainly the active substances extracted from the flower material. The terpenes are mainly the aromatic and flavouring substances that are extracted from the same flower.
Approximately 200+ terpenes can be distinguished in the cannabis and hemp plant, as well as about 113 cannabinoids. At least, that is how much has now been discovered by scientists. I’m sure there will be many more active parts found. The potency of this plant is far greater than we have found so far.
